New Year Cont... Daily Habits

How is your New Year Going?

Every year my husband and I set our goals/resolutions for the new year.

This year, I am still working on setting the time aside to do it.  Some of my intentions are in the back of my mind.  What about you?

Writing it down is the next step for me.  Writing helps make it real.  It is also something to look at, something to review as the days go by.  It helps me stay on the path I set.

"For many of us there will be times when it is hard to keep to the path and stay true to an ongoing revolution . . . Having a good set of habits and sticking ot them gives us a foundation in our lives."  Baron Baptiste
Personal Revolution Continued . . .

This week is Preparation

The Action to take is to create a habit of self care.

"Work a habit that adds to your 'body and soul savings account' today.  Meditate, practice yoga, get into nature, read something soulful -- whatever centers and nourishes you."  Baron Baptiste

As we come into the New Year we can review the Personal Revolution we started at the end of the year.  (Review Past Blogs).

Now it is time to take a look at how support our growth daily.

To keep up an ongoing revoltion of personal growth Baron Baptiste recommends these Daily Practices:

Prepartion
Compassion
Being Spontaneous
Intimacy
Being Nonreactive
Being Honest with Yourself
Equanimity
Not Resisting Change
Relationship
Slowing Down
Forgiveness
Coming Clean

Do you have any daily practices that help you feel a strong foundation?

I am working on daily Ayurvedic (yoga's sister science/yoga medicine) practices -- eating seasonally, sinus health, mantra, setting daily intentions, and sleep health, for example.  There are certainly some from the list above which will be a benefit to explore I am sure.

What ones speak to you?
What ones scare you?

Comment if you want to keep the conversation going.
